How we work

Who we are, how a site gets built, how we use AI tools, and what we check before anything goes live.

Who we are

We are a web design studio in San Antonio, Texas. We design and build custom, phone-first websites for small businesses, and we work with clients across the U.S.

We work in English and in Spanish. You deal with the studio from your first message to launch, and you approve the design before it goes live.

How a site gets built

Six stages, from your first message to launch. They are the same six stages on your client dashboard, so you always know where your project stands.

  1. Stage 1 of 6

    Submit Quote

    A few minutes

You: Tell us about your business, pick a package or describe something else, and send the form.

We: Read it and send questions or a fixed price, usually within one business day.

  2. Stage 2 of 6

    Proposal

    Usually within 2 business days

You: Read the proposal and sign it.

We: Write the proposal: what's included, the price and the dates.

  3. Stage 3 of 6

    Deposit

    Usually the same day

You: Pay the 50% deposit. It is non-refundable, apart from the exceptions in your signed agreement.

We: Hold your start date and send the list of what we need: logo, photos, hours, service area and notes.

  4. Stage 4 of 6

    Building

    About 1–3 weeks

You: Send your logo, photos and notes. Never passwords.

We: Design and build every page, phone first.

  5. Stage 5 of 6

    Draft review

Changes usually made within about 3–5 days

You: Open your private review link, pin comments and approve each page.

We: Make the changes you ask for, one round at a time.

  6. Stage 6 of 6

    Launch

    About a day

    You: Pay the final 50%.

We: Connect your domain, put the site live in your hosting account or on our care-plan hosting, and fix anything that's off during your fix window.

The full walk-through, with the draft review, is on About.

How we use AI tools

We use AI tools from outside providers to help write, design, and update your website. They see the project details that work needs, such as your business information, site text, and photos. We share only what the work needs, and we only use AI tools whose settings or terms keep your details from being used to train their models. We review everything an AI tool helps make before it is sent to you or goes live on your site.

This is the same wording as our privacy policy.

What we check before launch

Before a site is sent to you, and again before it goes live, we look at these.

  • The site on a real phone and on a computer, at both sizes.
  • That your business name, address or service area, and phone number read the same everywhere they appear.
  • That no sample text is left over: no sample phone number, no example email, no made-up review.
  • Page titles, a sitemap and share previews, so people can find the site and share it.
  • Your approval, page by page. Nothing goes live until you say so.

What every site includes

These settings are applied and checked automatically each time we publish a site. They are not a promise about how the site works for every visitor, and they do not replace a person looking at it, which is why you approve every page before it goes live.

Checked automatically

  • Every site we publish is sent with 4 browser security settings, and our publishing step checks for them automatically and will not publish a site without them: other sites cannot put a page in a frame, the browser may not guess file types, the browser is told how much to share when a visitor follows a link out, and the browser is told which device features the page may not use.

Also part of our site builder

These are things the builder offers. They are not test results.

  • A Spanish and English version of a site, when you want both, joined by a plain language link and never an automatic redirect.
  • A phone menu that opens without scripts, and a skip link for people who use a keyboard.
  • A Text, Email and Call bar at the bottom of the phone screen.
  • Photos that are made smaller when they are uploaded, so pages load faster on a phone.
  • A Ready to approve list that stops a first publish while a sample phone number or other example contact detail is still on a page, and warns about placeholder text such as a review that was never filled in.

Ask before anyone builds.

Tell us about your business and what the site should do. We reply with a fixed price.
